What We Are Building

Journalistics will be a community made up primary of journalists, bloggers, interview sources and PR pros. The purpose of the community is two-fold:

• To help journalists find great, relevant sources for their stories, while minimizing off-topic pitches (a.k.a. “PR spam”)
• To help sources find journalists that are interested in their expertise, and to help them promote themselves in a media-friendly, professional manner

Journalistics is one of the first platforms to support the real-time exchange of information between journalists and sources, while providing default sorting of contacts based on relevancy and reputation.

If you’re a journalist that’s frustrated with the amount of off-topic or “spammy” pitches you receive, or a source that’s looking for a new way to find and establish relationships with journalists, we hope Journalistics will be a solution for you.

Our Mission

Journalistics wants to make it easier for journalists to find great sources quickly, without having to weed through dozens or emails or block PR pitches. At the same time, we want to make it easier for legitimate expert sources to find journalists interested in talking with you, while helping you establish your credibility as a go-to source. This may sound similar to other products you’ve heard of, but it’s a truly unique approach that will only get better with your help.

Our Approach

The Journalistics team consists of journalism, public relations and technology professionals. We’ve spent the past year interviewing hundreds of professionals on both sides of the table, about how you do your work and what tools you would find useful and helpful. Journalistics is our first attempt at producing a product that will make your lives easier.
